Who We Are

We are a local church body that worships God and proclaims His Word, acknowledging that Christ is the head of the church. We function under His authority and serve to fulfill His purposes. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word. Therefore, it is sufficient for all of life and godliness and to address the spiritual needs of every person.

Our worship service and ministries are centered around:

- expository teaching and preaching

- singing hymns, Psalms, and spiritual songs

- equipping the saints for the work of the ministry

- exercising the one anothers

- fellowship and prayer

- observance of the ordinances

We are ruled by a plurality of elders who have been given delegated authority from Christ to serve as His undershepherds. Their responsibility is to feed, protect, and lead the flock of God. Our focus is on the spiritual growth and maturity of the saints.

Our church mission is given to us in the Great Commission and that is to glorify God and exalt the name of Jesus Christ by making disciples through evangelism and the proclamation of the gospel. We encourage every believer to be participating in this in their daily lives. As a church body we also support missionaries who are serving God in different parts of the world.

Where We Are

For most of our church history we have rented facilities at the University of Hartford. Following the onset of Covid-19 the university was closed to all outside groups, so we are currently meeting at Truth Baptist Church in South Windsor. That is why our Sunday worship service is at 2:30pm in the afternoons. However, we are engaged in an ongoing search for a more permanent meeting place for our church family. We are continuing to be faithful wherever the Lord would have us to be and trust wholly in His plans for us.
