Paul instructed the church at Rome, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2). The understanding and application of the Word of God is essential to the transformed Christian mind.
We as the men of Grace Church meet for bread of both an earthly and heavenly nature before work on Friday mornings. We pray for one another and strive to come to a deeper understanding of the Scriptures through both teaching and discussion of the Bible, earnestly desiring to think the thoughts of God after Him.
Like Paul, Peter put a great emphasis on grasping the truths of God: “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:13) Together, we prepare ourselves for our day ahead and our ability to obey our Heavenly Lord in our personal, work, and family lives.
We meet at 6:30 a.m., Friday mornings, on the second floor of the Harry Jack Gray Center (Conference Room A) in the University of Hartford (please see directions). We would love for you to be part of our time together!
