Ted Bigelow
Pastor-Teacher

Welcome to my pastoral page. Allow me to share with you my vision for pastoral ministry, which I consider a blend of preaching, personal shepherding, and leadership, in that order.

The call to preach the word of the living God is compelling, consuming, and limited. The preacher's ultimate responsibility is to bring God's message from a given text. This requires hard and dedicated study. It also requires an abhorrence of those traditions and faulty interpretations that obscure the text, defame the gospel, or puff up the preacher.

Only when I trusted in Christ's death and resurrection as a young man were my eyes opened to see the grandeur and surpassing excellence in every page of Scripture. I began to understand the glory of Jesus Christ and of His perfect salvation. To this day, studying and preaching Scripture is the most thrilling thing I do.

The preaching of the Scripture opens the door for fruitful conversations with people. As they discover God Himself in the Scripture, they are motivated to personal holiness with others. I am thankful our church is filled with people who yearn to apply the Scriptures to their daily life, and train their children in it as well.

I also work together with a team of godly men who lead the church. They also are involved in teaching and counseling, and together we seek to serve the church to be all Christ wants.
